Historical Description Edit
"Shrouded in secrecy and obscured through history by a blend of fact and fiction, Ninja warriors played a variety of roles in feudal Japan. They were scouts, spies, saboteurs, and feared assassins. Perhaps the most famous ninja is Hattori Hanzō, loyal vassal of future shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu."
One of the uniforms a ninja wears that is popular in media is the 'shinobi shōzoku' which is a black garb shown in the image. The ninja's mouth is covered by the garb. The ninja is holding a katana sword and holds a scabbard on his back. The ninja is also wearing a dark navy blue belt as well.

Defending Strategies Edit
- A misconception of the ninja shown in the image is that he wears a 'shinobi shōzoku' which is rarely worn by ninjas in the Sengoku Period. Instead, ninjas would disguise themselves as civilians to carry out assassinations and sabotaging.
