"For when you absolutely must have the biggest tank on the battlefield. With much greater armor and firepower, it easily dispatches smaller tanks while absorbing tremendous punishment. However it has a very high population cost and the slow rate of fire can cause it to be bogged down by overwhelming odds"

The Heavy Tank Mk.3 (level 3 Heavy Tank) is a standard heavy tank unit.

The unit is based on the German Tiger tank.

Historical Description Edit

The Tiger I was the first Heavy Tank developed by Germany in WW2. The Tiger was originally designed in response to the appearance of the T-34 and KV-1 Soviet tanks. The Tiger mounted 100mm thick frontal armor and featured the infamous 88mm cannon in its turret making it a deadly opponent to these Soviet tanks. However the Tiger I had a plethora of design flaws: fragile tracks, high fuel consumption, heavy weight making it hard to cross some terrain, poor rear and side protection, as well as being made of expensive and rare materials. Ultimately, this led to a small number of Tiger Is being produced, with an aproximate total of 1,500 compared to the 80,000 T-34s and variants.

Trivia Edit

The Heavy Tank Mk. 3 is most likely based of the original Henschel version of the Tiger I as it lacks any noticeable MG42 mounted on the top found in the Tiger I Ausf. E.
